In a performance inspired by her 2023 Grammy-Award winning album, experience the turbulence and resilience of Mother Nature's life as Renée Fleming performs music by Handel, Nico Muhly, Björk and Lord of The Rings' Howard Shore—all set against a backdrop of stunning film from the National Geographic Society.
Then, Renée Fleming performs her all-time favorites joined by the May Festival Chorus and Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra in this not-to-be-missed grand finale.
Animal Ambassadors
Arrive early to meet WAVE Foundation and their animal ambassadors in the foyer! WAVE Foundation is an independent charitable organization, working in partnership with Newport Aquarium. WAVE Foundation inspires and fosters environmental stewards of aquatic life through education, conservation, and volunteerism. Possible animal ambassadors include turtles, tortoises, lizards, and snakes.
Pre-Concert Talk
At 6:30 pm join us in Corbett Tower for a pre-concert talk moderated by Associate Director of Choruses Jason Alexander Holmes. Holmes will be joined by conductor Robert Moody to discuss tonight’s program. Moody is currently enjoying his 18th season as Music Director of Arizona Musicfest, his 9thseason as Music Director of The Memphis Symphony Orchestra (Tennessee) and celebrates his inaugural season as Music Director of the Baltimore Chamber Orchestra.
