CINCINNATI MAY FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES ADDITIONAL EVENTS FOR 2026 UNDER FESTIVAL DIRECTOR JULIA BULLOCK
All Tickets Now on Sale for the 2026 Cincinnati May Festival
CINCINNATI, OH (February 3, 2026)—The Cincinnati May Festival has announced three additional events in celebration of this year’s May Festival featuring Festival Director Julia Bullock. The events include Porgy and Bess – Remixed, A Dream Deferred: Langston Hughes in Song and Vocal Arts Ensemble: Rossini’s Petite messe solennelle. Tickets for all events and concerts are now on sale.
- On April 23, 2026, Emmy award-winning jazz vocalist, Kathy Wade, joins May Festival chorus member and soloist Robert Lomax, the Cincinnati Jazz Academy Combo and director Ralph DiSylvestro for a night of music from Porgy and Bess in this special pre-Festival event. Experience favorites from the iconic opera before experiencing Julia Bullock’s reimagined selections from Porgy and Bess in the May Festival Season Finale on May 23. Porgy and Bess –Remixed starts at 7 p.m. at the Kennedy Heights Art Center.
- On May 17, 2026, Grammy-winning classical singer and 2026 Cincinnati May Festival Director Julia Bullock presents her critically acclaimed concert curation – A Dream Deferred: Langston Hughes in Song. The recital features texts from Langston Hughes set to music. The performance also includes a post-concert Talk Back with Bullock. A Dream Deferred: Langston Hughes in Song starts at 3 p.m. at Memorial Hall.
- On May 19, 2026, the May Festival features the talent of Cincinnati’s Vocal Arts Ensemble with Rossini’s Petite messe solennelle. The entertaining cultural treasure will be directed by VAE’s new Music Director, Joe Miller. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. at Christ Church Cathedral.
