Maestro Conlon discusses the final concert of 2009 May Festival, Mahler’s Symphony No. 8 “Symphony of a Thousand.” The work unites, for the first time on the Music Hall stage, the May Festival Chorus and the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus, both of which are prepared by Robert Porco, and features guest soloists, the Cincinnati Children’s Choir and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. Altogether, over 500 artists are assembled on the stage of Music Hall.
